1130-1140 AD
Anyone familiar with the story of Harry Potter is also familiar with the legend of the Deathly Hallows. Ignotus Peverell is one of the brothers that legend was about. He was a distant relative of Harry's and it was through him that Harry acquired the Cloak of Invisability.
My Wizard is an original all cloth doll. He has a cloth over cloth face with set in eyes made from wooden beads. He stands about 18" tall and is fully armatured. He is wearing an underrobe of silver-blue moonbeam infused fabric trimmed with metallic ribbon and a row of black pearl buttons. His outer robe is moon and star flock satin edged with metallic star embellished fabric. He is holding his globe topped staff and an enchanted sphere that houses some of the memories he didn't have room for in his head. He also sports a pair of snake skin boots.

1775-1785
The Patriot - 1776 He represents the decade 1775-1785. Uniform is the Continental Regimental worn by 1776. The flag is the Betsy Ross design and was purchased.
The Patriot is 19" tall and is a combination of my pattern design skills and modified pattern pieces from Laura Lunsford"s Steampunk Doll (SD&A November 2011 edition). The head is my own pattern design,as well as the redesign of the lower leg to form feet. The trunk pieces were modified to broaden the shoulders and narrow the hips to conform to a male body. I also enlarged the hands slightly to be more male in size.
The uniform is totally my pattern, as are the shoes and the tricorn hat. The cloth is a combination of wool, flax, and cotton and is true to the colors of the uniform of that period. The fit is designed to be a true replica with all button placements and numbers of buttons exactly as shown in the original. I made the hat using felt and braid, along with
the addition of a cockade on the left side.

Daniel

2000's
This is Daniel, from the beginning of 2000, he is waiting for his girlfriend. He want to give her some flowers, for the nice scarf he got from here.
This doll is almost entire made by me. The shoes is the only thing I have bought. I made the Doll pattern, knitted the sweater, scarf and cap. The rest of the clothes I've sewn from my own designs. He is 55 cm tall, and is jointed in all joints in arms and legs.

Maori Warrior

Approximately 1350's
Maori Warrior performs the Haku, which is a posture war or celebratory dance which often includes a protruding tongue. There were many challenges in balance and base attachment, but in the end I made it work!
Maori Warrior is an original design by artist. The Maori are the indigenous people of New Zealand. He is traditionally costumed with a Piupiu skirt. Piupiu are traditionally made from flax, and a sharp shell is used to cut and strip the lax leaves. When the flax is immersed into a pool of stagnant mud, carved out areas turn black. It is then washed and dried, and as it dries it curls. Of course I did not have access to flax or stagnate mud, so I found that by cutting knit cotton fabric into strips it would curl. Black lines were painted. The fish hook neck ornament is traditional design, and carved from bone as is his dagger.

2010-2020
Mr. Filby is a time traveler. He had been in 21st century England many years before and dressed in a style to "blend" in with the natives. The pieces trimming his hat, monocle, cane and boot fronts are actually spare parts for his time machine should he need them. He is named after Jules Verne, H. G. Wells and a character from the latter's book, the Time Machine. He was personal friends with the original Time Traveler.
This gentleman is an original all cloth doll. He has a cloth over cloth face with set in eyes made from wooden beads. He stands about 18" tall and is fully armatured. He is wearing Wool cutaway style jacket with black satin trim. His pants are dark green wool crepe and are tucked into black leather boots with "metal" embellishments. He is outfitted with his everpresent Monocle, timepiece and top hat (purchased). He has curly red hair, muttonchops and a dapper mustashe and Van Dyke style beard.

The King of the Jews

0000's
Early Christian era: an inspiration from Christmas Presepe time.
Basic pattern: DOLTON by Sandra M. Blake that I have covered in stretch viscose and stuffed with fiberfill and wire armatures.
Look from Zeffirelli's Jesus of Nazareth and sources who tell He went around barefoot and bareheaded.
The tunic is from an antique piece of hand yarn and woven linen. Height 18.5" (cm 47), hands with veins and lifelike bones made with a my own technique.
I have changed the original hands by opening the fingers as a fan.
Everyone already knows his history.
